Custom Digitizing Information
This pricing is for established embroidery companies looking for professional digitizing for their customers.  LogoWear currently has over 150 digitizing customers and has an average turn-around rate of 1 to 3 days.

PRICING

PLAN A:  $9.00 per thousand stitches with consideration for simplicity of design. If the design is easy to make, you will not be charged for the total stitch count, but rather on simplicity of the design, saving you money.

PLAN B:  $60.00 "Flat-Rate" for all left chest or hat designs.  $150.00 "Flat-Rate" for all jacket back sized designs.

The "Flat-Rate" plan enables your embroidery company to avoid the normal quote process and let your customers, the first time you talk with them, know how much the digitizing will cost. Why not close the deal upon the first meeting rather wait for a quote then contact your customer again, which could take days to weeks.

GENERAL INFORMATION

This information is for potential customers looking to have garments embroidered by LogoWear.  There are basic rules and guidelines listed below:

What is Digitizing? Digitizing is the art of adding stitching to your logo or picture. Digitizing is what tells the embroidery machine what stitches to place where. If you provide us with a clean, clear Artwork to work with we can turn this image into a embroidery design you can use over and over.

What is artwork? business cards, letter head -- digital art files (.cdr, .bmp, .jpg, .tif, .eps, .gif, or .pcx). Mailing or emailing the artwork is preferred, but high-res faxes may work as well (depends on complication of logo).

It is important to have all the details before digitization begins including the type of garment the design will be placed on and the size of the design. Will LogoWear be doing the actual embroidery or will you be doing the embroidery? Depending on your answer to this question will determine your answer to some of the questions below.

  • Design size (left chest, jacket back, front chest) What is the exact size of the design? If the size of the original artwork differs from what your final design size will be will stretching or distorting the original design be required? For instance, lets say that the original artwork is two inches high by four inches tall. And you really want it to be five by eight inches.

  • Type of garment (T-shirt, cap, polo, sweatshirt) Fabric Type (fleece, Pique, leather, jersey, cotton) On what material will the design eventually be sewn? This will determine what stitch effects will be used, and the way the design is punched.

  • Thread Type (poly, rayon, metallic) What thread weight and type is to be used? Different thread weights and types also affect the way a design is punched. For instance, since metallic thread is thinner than regular 40-weight thread, a tighter pitch should be used, such as .35 mm.

  • Do you have standard preferences with respect to pitches, fill angles, under-stitching or trim lengths? If, so this information should be obtained before punching the design.

  • Do you have automatic trimmers? If so, at what stitch length do you prefer trims as opposed to joining blocks. If we will be doing the embroidery for you our standard is to place automatic trims at 1mm we believe this achieves a cleaner looking embroidery design.

  • Lettering should not be done any smaller than 4 mm or(.20" tall if lettering is any smaller you will not be able to see the letters clearly, unless there is a stable fill background under the lettering.

  • Number of colors in design

  • Machine Format you need to design disk in.

Size Limitations:

  • It is advised to make a left chest design no larger than 4 inches wide as the design will fall into the armpit if any larger.

  • Letters cannot be embroidered less than 4mm. Lower case letter can be changed into uppercase

  • Ways to change design dimensions include:

Change Lower case lettering into uppercase.
Eliminate some of the letters or place the letters on 2 or more lines.
Arc the lettering around the logo.

Location Limitations:

  • We cannot embroider on pockets or other locations where we cannot turn the item inside out (the area needed to hoop the garment.) Unless you want those locations closed & unusable for items other than embroidery.
